  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs

Equipment

  • 1 pie pan

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in melted chocolate and vanilla.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  4. Spread filling into cooled pie crust.
  5. Chill several hours or overnight.
  6. Top with whipped cream and chocolate curls before serving.

Notes

For best results, use pasteurized eggs. Serve chilled. The pie can be made a day ahead.
